Having been born into a fishing family in South Florida I began fishing at about the age of four. We never owned a boat so I learned at a young age how and where to catch fish off the banks, beaches, seawalls, piers, jetties, bridges, docks, and shorelines of Florida. Throughout my childhood I fished at the beach, in the everglades, on the Intracoastal as well as in local canals, lakes, and ponds every chance I got. Growing up in South Florida we would jump on our bikes and fish the everglades one day and the ocean or Intracoastal the next.
With access to so many different salt, fresh, and brackish water fishing spots I gained knowledge and experience catching numerous species of fish including large mouth bass, snook, tarpon, snapper, grouper, jacks, pickerel, gar, mudfish, catfish, sea trout, barracuda, needlefish, ladyfish, crappie, sunfish, red and black drum, bluegill, bonefish, snake heads, sharks, grunts, rock bass, striped bass, peacock bass, warmouth, oscar, and so many other various native and invasive species that inhabit the ocean, our coastal and inland water ways, lakes, ponds, and canals.
For those of you that have never fished before I offer a beginners two hour introduction to fishing excursion. You will learn the basic fundamentals from hook tying and baiting to casting and retreiving artificial lures, as well as, how, where, and when to catch fish.
